    Otis Canada, Inc. is hiring a Regional Field Engineer for Western Canada.  The Regional Field Engineer acts as a liaison between the factory and the field, resolving technical issues that arise in the field.

         • Design / redesign elevator components and / or control systems to meet the needs of customers
         • Train field associates engaged in construction, service and modernization projects
         • Direct and implement  process improvement activities in the field
         • Work with a diverse portfolio of equipment (Otis and non-Otis equipment)
         • Submit design documentation to the regulatory bodies and explain code compliance rationale to these authorities
         • Ensure that all field personnel comply with safe work practices in accordance with EH&S standards
         • Interface with internal and external customers and identify solutions and provide consultation

    Otis Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for major construction projects in the area. This position requires demonstrated ability to manage large customer projects as well as direct, supervise and lead the performance of field operations for the new equipment side of Otis' business.          • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization
         • Responsible for inventory control and tracking; record all inventory movement, including handling product returns
         • Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
         • Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action to resolve the issue
         • Responsible for shipping and receiving parts, delivering parts to jobsites as required
         • Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift
         • Ensure all tools are accounted for and certified as required, ordering new tools and kits as needed
         • Order safety gear and uniforms for elevator mechanics
         • Responsible for status updates and general administration tasks
         • Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies, procedures and costs
         • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
         • Invoice administrator (issue appropriate PO’s for mechanics), communicate with the Otis internal financial system regarding logged non vouchered, received not vouchered invoices.
         • Communicate with vendors regarding status of accounts

    • Supervise the warehouse buy keeping it clean, organized and updating logs
    • Responsible for status updates, PDA compliance, government inspection tracking, and general administration tasks
    • Handle product returns
    • Parts ordering
    • Shipping and Receiving of parts
    • Delivering parts to job sites as required
    • Loading and unloading trucks with a forklift work
    • Ensure all tools are accounted for and certified as required; Order new tools and kits as needed
    • Ordering safety gear and uniforms for mechanics
    • Managing approximately 40-50 hoists
